  • Lolly Popping

Lolly popping is a great technique you can use to increase your yields. It works by removing all the lower branches and leaves of the plant. I would recommend going from the base about half a foot up. On larger plants you could go a foot or a foot and a half from the base of the plant. This enables the plant to send the energy to the top of the canopy. Lolly popping your plants will also allow air flow through the base of your stems. You will be able to see what's going on and it will be a lot easier to detect pests, bugs and diseases. Humidity can build up when foliage is very thick at the bottom, as there is lower amounts of air, this causes fungus and rot which we need to avoid....read more
  • Liquid Silicon

Silicon or (si) for the science people that know their chemical elements, is a natural substance occurring in soil. If silicon is not present in your soil or medium, we advise that you add it. This is where liquid silicon will help you in achieving the results you're after. Growing with silicon will help your plant become stronger, better at fighting against disease, pests and increase yields. You will notice the all the stems on the plant are considerably thicker and the plant will be a lot more healthier compared to the plants without silicon. When you go to crop your plant at harvest time look at how thick the stems are even on a fan leaf. Remove the leaf and you will see the difference between a none silicon plant and one that has been given silicon. ...read more
  • Increasing Yields

Many people ask how to get bigger yields out of there plants through magical nutrients or that a certain product that is just going to make your plant go crazy. Well the truth is, yes there are great products which you can use or add to your grow to help improve and increase yields but without the basic key factors such as a perfect environment I.e controlling temperatures and humidity you will always be searching. For super yields Temperature must be in the day cycle (When lights are on) no higher than 28 Celsius and no lower than 18 Celsius in the night cycle (When Lights are off). This means a drop of 10 Celsius when lights go off, if you can keep your temperatures within a smaller range even better your plants will love you inconsiderably....read more
  • Super Cropping

Super cropping is when you bend the plant from the main stem half way up the plant. Super cropping is one of the best pruning techniques that you have available to you. It's also one of the easiest to perform. It isn't like pure pruning where you actually snip off some of the plant. Instead, it's more like putting the plant through a little bit of stress to get it to increase yields Grow It Yourself Hydroponics would recommend that you do this process in the vegetative stage of the plant. Wait until your plant has reached a foot and half in height. You can do the process at a foot in height as well. Usually before supper cropping we would advise you lolly pop the plant too. Lolly popping a plant is when you remove all the lower branches of the plant up to a certain height. For instance...read more
