  • Lolly Popping

    Lolly popping is a great technique you can use to increase your yields. It works by removing all the lower branches and leaves of the plant. I would recommend going from the base about half a foot up. On larger plants you could go a foot or a foot and a half from the base of the plant. This enables the plant to send the energy to the top of the canopy. Lolly popping your plants will also allow air flow through the base of your stems. You will be able to see what's going on and it will be a lot easier to detect pests, bugs and diseases.     Super cropping is when you bend the plant from the main stem half way up the plant. Super cropping is one of the best pruning techniques that you have available to you. It's also one of the easiest to perform. It isn't like pure pruning where you actually snip off some of the plant. Instead, it's more like putting the plant through a little bit of stress to get it to increase yields Grow It Yourself Hydroponics would recommend that you do this process in the vegetative stage of the plant.
